After an absence in the community, Job Corps will be making a return to Brewton in order to provide services to students in the area.
A special orientation and admissions session for Job Corp will be held Tuesday, June 26 at Hope Place Center in downtown Brewton.
Melanie Miller, admissions counselor for the Mobile office of Job Corps, said the session will be open for students and young adults age 16 to 24.
“This is our offer to provide better customer service to the students of Brewton,” Miller said. “We will also be working with students from Andalusia, Atmore, Evergreen, Monroeville and other surrounding municipalities. This is our way of making Job Corps more accessible to the students who reside in these areas.”
Miller said Hope Place Family Resource Center was offered for use by Job Corps staff ro the upcoming outreach and admissions sessions.
Miller said the sessions will be held regularly in the coming months on each fourth Tuesday of the month.
