The Brewton 10U all-stars will be one of 13 teams that will begin play at the state tournament Saturday in Florence.
Brewton, who finished runner-up to Opp in the district tournament last week in Evergreen, will be one of four teams in the Central pool while four teams will be in the National pool and five teams in the American pool.
Joining Brewton in the Central pool is Alex City, Southern and Sweet Water. In the National pool will be Sylacauga, Opp, Valley Grande and Semmes. In the American pool will be Florence, Monrovia, Coosa, Mims and Lincoln.
All teams will play four pool play games and then will be seeded by records and advance to the single elimination part of the tournament Monday.
Brewton will begin play in the tournament, Saturday June 30 at 9 a.m. against Sweet Water. Brewton will be the home team in their first game.
In their second game Saturday at 1 p.m., Brewton will take on Southern and will be the visitors.
On Sunday, Brewton will play Valley Grande at 4 p.m. and will be the home team. Brewton’s final pool play game will be at 8 p.m. Sunday against Alex City. Brewton will be the visitor against Alex City.
Brewton’s Saturday games will be on the Lumber One Field while their 4 p.m. Sunday game will also be on the Lumber One Field. The 8 p.m. game against Alex City will be on the TNT Field.
Making the 10U all-star team for Brewton for 2012 is: Jaxson Flores, Blake Jernigan, Miller Hart, Stone Martin, Landon Sims, James David Hartin, Whitley Lisenby, Nolan Atkinson, Kyle Blevins, Logan Bush, Brandon Coleman and Brandon Smith,
Coaches include John Hart, Chris Coleman and Charlie Hartin.
