WSN volleyball team to participate in two team camps in coming days

Second-year W.S. Neal volleyball head coach Jeff Haney has announced his team will take part in two team camps this summer.
Haney and his Lady Eagles for 2012 will first take part in a team camp at Jay High School Friday, July 20.
W.S. Neal will be one of eight teams to play in the tournament as Baker, Flomaton, Pace, Jay, Crestview 1, Crestview 2 and Tate will also play.
W.S. Neal will begin play at 8:30 a.m. against Pace and will play against at 10:30 a.m. against Tate.
At 12:30 p.m., W.S. Neal will take on Baker before ending things at 2:30 p.m. against Crestview 2.
Each match will be a best 2-of-3 format with games one and two being played to 25 and the third game to 15. Concessions will be available.
The Lady Eagles will also take part in a team camp at Flomaton Tuesday, July 24 and Wednesday, July 25.
A total of 10 teams will take part in the Flomaton tournament. Teams include Flomaton, Central, Leroy, Excel, Tallassee, Jay, ECHS, W.S. Neal, Northview and Mobile Christian.
The format will be best 2-of-3 with games one and two being played to 25 and game three (if necessary) will be played to 15. Concessions will be available.
The Flomaton games will be held in three different locations each day—court A and B in the new gym with two games going at one time and court C in the physical education gym.
Games will begin at 9 a.m. and go every hour until 3 p.m. on Tuesday while games Wednesday will start at 9 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.
Games at 9 a.m. Tuesday will be Flomaton and Central on court A in the new gym, Northview and W.S. Neal on court B while Jay and ECHS will play on court C in the PE gym.
Games at 10 a.m. will see Leroy and Excel on court A, Northview and Mobile Christian on court B, ECHS and Flomaton on court C. At 11 a.m., Tallassee and Central will play on court A, Leroy and Mobile Christian will play on court B and W.S. Neal and Jay will play on court C.
Noon games will see Tallassee and Excel on court A and ECHS on court B. No games will be played at noon on court C.
Games at 1 p.m. will be Jay and Central on court A, W.S. Neal and Leroy on court B and Mobile Christian and Flomaton on court C.
At 2 p.m., ECHS and Leroy will play on court A followed by Tallassee and Jay on court B and Mobile Christian and Excel on court C. The final games of the day will be played at 3 p.m. with W.S. Neal and Flomaton playing on court A, Tallassee and Northview on court B and Central and Excel on court C.
Games will resume Wednesday at 9 a.m. with Flomaton and Jay playing on court A, Northview and Central on court B and W.S. Neal and ECHS playing on court C.
The games at 10 a.m. will be Flomaton and Leroy on court A, Mobile Christian and Central on court B, while Excel and W.S. Neal play on court C.
At 11 a.m., Leroy and Jay will play on court A, Mobile Christian and ECHS will play on court B, and Excel and Northview will play on court C.
Noon games will see W.S. Neal and Central on court A and Flomaton and Northview on court B. No games will be played on court C at noon.
At 1 p.m., Excel and ECHS will play on court A, Mobile Christian and Jay on court B and Leroy and Central on court C.
The final games of the day will take place at 2 p.m. with Excel and Jay playing on court A, Mobile Christian and W.S. Neal on court B and Leroy and Northview on court C.
T.R. Miller volleyball head coach Greg White said he would host a team camp for his players Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, July 24-26, at the T.R. Miller gym.
The first official practice date for volleyball is Thursday, Aug. 2, which is set by the AHSAA.
Games can begin Thursday, Aug. 23.
