The Tigersharks competed in the GCAAL Junior Championships in Bay Minette Saturday, July 14.
The meet showcased some of the team’s younger swimmers, while allowing some of the more seasoned swimmers the opportunity to bring home some hardware, Boyd said.
Noah Winton, son of Randy and Rachel Winton, competed in four individual events and took home three first place medals and one second place medal.
Caleb Kent, son of Danny and Phyllis Kent, also medaled in four individual events and Kinsley Byrd and Addison Heath brought home medals from the meet.
Other Tigersharks competing were: Kayleigh Kulicka, Jonah Winton, Callie Kent, Addison Jernigan and Emmie Heath.
“All of our Tigersharks swam great at juniors,” Boyd said. “This was one proud coach. There were over 200 swimmers at junior and seven teams participating.”
