TRM cross country runs in Mobile Saturday
The T.R. Miller cross country team saw their season kickoff Saturday morning in Mobile as they took part in the Challenge of Champions race.
T.R. Miller had runners competing in both the girls and boys open race and girls run in the invite only race.
In the girls open race, Peyton Baxter, Shelby Evans and Auburn Jernigan ran for the Lady Tigers with Baxter leading the way for the Lady Tigers with a 38th place finish with a time of 27:58.53.
Evans placed 57th with a time of 29:52.87 and Jernigan finished 64th with a time of 30:55.71.
In the boys open race, T.R. Miller placed eighth out of 14 teams.
Christian Carlson led the way for the Tigers with a seventh place finish and a time of 19:06.42.
John West took 50th place with a time of 21:39.24 and Ryan Snowden came in 65th with a time of 22:12.32.
Carter Frezell placed 84th for the Tigers with a time of 23:00.40 and Travis Carlson came in 84th with a time of 23:44.71.
Dillon Simmons placed 103rd and Nash Diercks came in 111th. Simmons had a time of 23:58.08 and Diercks had a time of 24:39.75/
Gavin McNeil and Noah Morris placed 157th and 158th respectively. McNeil ran a time of 29:01.43. Morris had a time of 29:01.86.
In the girls invite race, T.R. Miller came in sixth out of eight teams.
Karisa Nelson led the way with a time of 19:27.68 and a third place finish while Allie Nelson came in 13th place with a time of 20:53.52. Katie Nelson ran a time of 23:25.91 for 33rd place and Lindsay Norton came in 48th place with a time of 26:16.23.
Morgan Rowell and Hannah Blair came in 56th and 58th place. Rowell had a time of 28:25.67 and Blair’s time was 30:42.75.
