Former Flomaton Police Chief Geoff McGraw pleaded guilty in a Florida court Friday to a misdemeanor assault charge.

The plea wraps up a case in which McGraw had been charged with third-degree kidnapping and false imprisonment relating to a suspect he allegedly chased from Alabama over the state line into Florida.

McGraw was sentenced to pay court costs and restitution.
