JDCC volleyball falls to Gadsden and FS

In a home game Friday against Gadsden State, the Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball lost 3-1 to fall to 5-11 overall and to 2-6 in conference play.
JDCC lost set one 25-14 but won set two 25-23 to tie the match a 1-1.
From there, Gadsden took set three 25-12 and set four 25-18.
For JDCC, Tara Gafford led with nine kills and Jennifer Daniels led with 29 total attacks.
Daniels, Victoria Bracewell and Gafford had one service ace each and Bracewell led with 13 digs. Gafford had three solo blocks.
In a Monday home match against Faulkner State, JDCC lost 3-0 to fall to 5-12 overall and to 2-7 in conference play.
The Warhawks lost 25-14, 25-18 and 25-19.
No other stats were known from Monday’s loss to Faulkner State as of press time.
JDCC will return home Tuesday, Oct. 16 for a 6:30 p.m. game against Wallace-Selma.
