The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger volleyball team saw their season come to an end Thursday in their area tournament game at Bayside Academy.
The Lady Tigers lost 3-0 to the No. 1 Lady Admirals to end their season with an 11-8 record and see their seven-game winning streak come to an end.
T.R. Miller lost to Bayside Academy 25-8 in set one, 25-3 in set two and 25-13 in set three. No individual stats were known as of press time.
“When you play Bayside you have to play a perfect match to have a chance,” Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said. “We didn’t do that. I was disappointed in game two because we let them beat us on their serve. We didn’t do a lot to help ourselves. In games one and three, I thought we really played hard but we were just a little out-matched on the net.”
While the 2012 season for the Lady Tigers saw some low times at times, White said his team really did a good job down the stretch.
“We’ve had great practice habits and every girl has handled their role on the team,” White said. “At the end of the season we were able to put together a seven-game winning streak and win the county tournament for an eighth straight year. As a coach you always want your team to be playing its best ball at the end of the season and this team really did that. We played the way T.R. Miller is supposed to play and I appreciate that.”
