WSN JV and varsity softball take down Hillcrest

The W.S. Neal JV and varsity softball teams swept a home doubleheader against Hillcrest Friday.
The JV Lady Eagles won 10-3 over the Lady Jaguars while the varsity Lady Eagles won 15-0 in four innings to improve to 8-6 this season.
In JV action, W.S. Neal scored four runs in the first, five in the second and one in the third while holding Hillcrest to two in the second and one in the third.
Kaitlin Driskell earned the win on the mound for W.S. Neal. Driskell went three innings and allowed two hits, three runs, walked five, hit one and struck out four.
At the plate, Erin Hartsel and Audrey Hammac both had singles.
In the varsity game, Kaitlin Hadaway went the complete distance in the circle for the Lady Eagles and allowed one hit, walked one and struck out 10 in the 15-0 win.
W.S. Neal scored one run in the first, five in the second, seven in the third and two in the fourth to get the mercy-rule win.
At the plate, Kena Ellison and Karissa Johnson had a single each.
Kaeli Brown added a triple and a single and five RBIs. Hadaway had two singles and a triple and one RBI. Haleigh Dubose had two singles along with KeKe Floyd. Jodi Busby and Madison Winchester both had one RBI each in the win.
