Beast Feast planning under way

The smell of wild game such as venison, fish and wild hog, as well as exotic foods like alligator and frogs legs will fill up the banquet hall at East Brewton’s First Assembly of God Church once again this year as the church will host their second Beast Feast.
The Beast Feast will be held Saturday, April 13, at 6 p.m.
“Our speaker this year is going to be Buddy Salsman,” East Brewton Assembly of God senior pastor Jeff Scurlock said. “He is not a comedian and I’m not sure what his subject matter is going to be at this point.”
Scurlock said door prizes would be given away, such as golf clubs, gift certificates and other things.
“There will be lots of great door prizes and a great time to be had,” Scurlock said.
Last year, Christian comedian Lee McBride performed at the dinner.
“Last years Beast Feast was a great success,” Scurlock said. “All the food is cooked by the men of the church. We want the opportunity to serve and be a blessing to our community. The food will be excellent. The door prizes will be fun and our speaker Buddy Salsman will share a life changing message.”
Tickets will cost $7 for this year’s event.
For more information or tickets, call the church at 251-867-7307.
Even though the Beast Feast is a project done by the men of the church, women are also invited to come and feast on the wild beasts.
The church is located on 108 Florida Street (Hwy 41 S) in East Brewton.
