TRM baseball falls hard in Opp

Facing off against Brewbaker Tech Tuesday in the Opp spring break tournament, the T.R. Miller Tiger baseball team dropped to 10-5 with a 19-5 loss.
T.R. Miller gave up six runs in the second inning to Brewbaker and trailed 12-1 after the top of the fifth inning.
After cutting the lead to 12-5 with four of their own runs in the bottom half of the inning, the Tigers gave up a seven-spot in the top of the sixth to lose to Brewbaker by 14 in six innings.
Ryann Gray pitched two innings for T.R. Miller and took the loss on the mound. James Peach pitched one inning and Hunter Brittain went the next two while Zac Griffin went the final inning.
At the plate for T.R. Miller, Caden Lodge and Brittain had two hits and Dominique Jackson had one.
Griffin, Cody Smith and Gray also had one hit each in the loss.
T.R. Miller will travel to Flomaton Tuesday for a JV and varsity doubleheader. Game time is set for 4 and 6 p.m.
On Thursday, T.R. Miller will host W.S. Neal in a big area series for the two teams with playoff implications on the line for both teams. On Friday, the two teams will play a 4 and 6 p.m. area doubleheader in East Brewton.
