TRM tennis falls in Andalusia

Both the T.R. Miller boys and girls tennis teams took losses Tuesday in Andalusia.
The Tiger boys lost 9-0 while the Lady Tigers lost 7-2.
No. 2-seed Karisa Nelson won her match 8-1 and No. 3-seed Rebecca Quick won her match 8-6. No. 1-seed Elizabeth Althauser dropped her match 3-8 while fourth seed Bridget Casey dropped her match 2-8. Molly McConaghy fell 5-8 and sixth seed Mary Allison Peace played well but lost 4-8.
In doubles, Nelson and Althauser lost 6-8 and Casey and Quick dropped a 4-8 match. McConaghy and Peace lost their doubles match 1-8.
For the boys, Christian Carlson lost 1-8 and Travis Carlson lost 0-8 in their singles matches.
No. 3-seed Trin Miller lost 3-8 as did fourth seed Nash Diercks. No. 5-seed Chris Guthrie took a 1-8 loss and Garrett Cave lost 2-8.
In doubles, No. 1-seeds Christian and Travis Carlson played their doubles match close but lost 6-8 while Diercks and Miller lost 1-8 in their No. 2-seed match. In the third seed doubles, Guthrie and Cave lost 0-8.
The losses for the teams dropped the boys to 1-4 overall this year and the Lady Tigers to 3-2.
Both teams are set to host W.S. Neal Thursday in Brewton at 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.
