Teams get wins in Monday Cal Ripken games in East Brewton

In baseball and softball games played in East Brewton Monday, the Rangers, Astros, Brewton Marlins and softball Athletics claimed wins.
The Rangers defeated Flomaton two 5-3 while the 10U Astros edged out Flomaton Two 10-9.
Also in the 10U baseball league, Brewton’s Marlins earned a 7-0 win over the East Brewton Rays. In softball action, the Athletics edged out the Dodgers 6-5.
No other games from recent action in Brewton and East Brewton was known as of press time Tuesday.

Rangers 5, Flomaton Two 3
In 12U baseball action Monday, the Rangers downed Flomaton Two 5-3.
For the Rangers, Tucker Davenport and Jennings Hobbs combined to pitch and earned the win.
The duo allowed three hits, two runs, walked five and struck out 11.
At the plate, Christian Nelson had a single and a double and Hobbs had a single.
For Flomaton, Robert Samson and Hunter White pitched. Samson and White allowed three hits, three runs, walked three and struck out six.
Trent Lewis had a homerun and Kameron Cannon and White both had singles.

Astros 10, Flomaton Two 9
Despite being out hit 8-3 by Flomaton, the Astros claimed a 10-9 win.
For the Astros, Konnor Wood had two singles and Russell Ball had a single.
Collin Stinson and Troy McCall pitched for the Astros.
For Flomaton, Will Rolin, Leyton Burkett, Hunter Wilson, Rowdy Rutherford, and Austin Washington had hits.
Wilson and Burkett pitched for Flomaton.

Brewton Marlins 7, EB Rays 0
Kyle Blevins allowed one hit, no runs, walked and struck out five in a 7-0 win for the Brewton Marlins over the East Brewton Rays.
At the plate for the Marlins, Blevins, Collin Wood, Earl Dolihite, Ed Dolihite and Brandon Coleman all had hits.
Issac Smith had the lone hit for the Rays. Caleb Sexton and Smith pitched in the loss.

Athletics 6, Dodgers 5
Taylor Peters pitched a no-hitter for the softball Athletics Monday in a 6-5 win over the Dodgers. Peters allowed five runs, no hits, walked eight and struck out five.
At the plate for the Athletics in the win, Morgan Dubose, Kali Hunter and Makayla Crook all had hits.
Madison White pitched for the Dodgers and allowed four hits, six runs, walked five and struck out three.
