Daphne softball cruises to 13-2 win over TRM

The Daphne Lady Trojans scored eight runs in the first inning and held T.R. Miller to one hit Monday as they cruised their way to a 13-2 win over the Lady Tigers. The loss dropped T.R. Miller to 11-10 overall this year.
Along with eight runs in the first, Daphne added three in the third and one each in the fourth and fifth while holding the Lady Tigers to one run each in the third and fifth innings.
Daphne pounded out 12 hits in the five-inning win and both teams had five errors each in the loss.
Audrey Hamric had the lone hit for T.R. Miller as she had a double in the loss. Hamric also had one RBI.
Laurel Billy was the pitcher of record. Billy went 4 2/3 innings and allowed 13 runs, six earned, 12 hits, walked one and struck out none.
T.R. Miller will play their final regular season game of the year Thursday at home against Atmore at 4 p.m.
