TRM golf scores another first place finish in regular season finale

The T.R. Miller golf team played in their final regular season match Monday in Monroeville and made it a perfect 7-for-7 this year as they claimed first place in the six-team meet. T.R. Miller has posted first place in every match that they have played in this year.
The Tigers placed first with a score of 172, which was eight strokes better than second place Excel’s 180. In third place was the Jackson Aggies with a total score of 183 followed by Monroe County’s 185 and Leroy’s 187. J.U. Blacksher rounded out the teams with a total score of 192.
For T.R. Miller, Troy Hart led the way with a 40 and Will Smith followed with a 42. Yancey Jernigan shot a 44 while Rob Stokes finished with a 46.
Other Tiger scorer were Tylan McDonald’s 48 and Chandler Brown’s 49.
T.R. Miller will play at sectionals Monday, April 29.
