TRM softball falls to Flomaton, will be play final regular season today (Thursday) at home against Atmore

Three days after beating Flomaton 3-0 in their Escambia County Tournament finale Saturday at JDCC, the T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball lost to the Lady Hurricanes 7-4 Tuesday in Flomaton—despite holding Flomaton to only one hit.
T.R. Miller, now 11-11 overall with the loss, allowed one hit, three runs on passed balls, two runs on an error throw down to third base that ended up in left field and more errors to take the loss by three. The Lady Tigers had seven total errors in the loss.
After a scoreless first inning by both teams, Flomaton led T.R. Miller 3-0 after two innings. After the Lady Tigers cut the lead to 3-1 in the top of the third, Flomaton added four in the third to grab a 7-1 lead. T.R. Miller added two in the sixth and one in the seventh to cut the lead to 7-4, but ended up taking the loss by three.
At the plate for T.R. Miller, Audrey Hamric was 2-for-3 with a triple. Abbi Roberts, Kelsey Thompson and Ali Taylor all had hits. Roberts and Taylor had one RBI each.
Moriah Brundidge and Laurel Billy pitched for the Lady Tigers with Brundidge taking the loss.
Brundidge went two innings and allowed no hits, seven runs, two earned, walked five and struck out two. Billy went four innings and allowed one hit, no runs, no walks and struck out one.
The Lady Tigers will end their regular season Thursday at home against Atmore. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
