Teams get wins in recent baseball and softball games in EB

In Cal Ripken baseball and softball games Thursday and Monday in East Brewton, the Brewton Reds, East Brewton Dodgers, Brewton Nationals, Brewton Braves, Flomaton and the East Brewton Rangers all came away with wins.
The Brewton Reds grabbed a 6-0 win over Flomaton while the EB Dodgers softball team defeated Flomaton Two 17-4. The Brewton Nationals defeated the EB Diamondbacks 14-2 while in a battle of the Braves, the Brewton Braves shutout the EB Braves 8-0. In a 10U game Monday, Flomaton edged out the Rays 10-6 while the EB Dodgers defeated Flomaton One 9-5 and the Rangers of East Brewton defeated Flomaton 7-2.
Brewton Reds 6, Flomaton 0
Blake Jernigan pitched a no-hitter in a 6-0 win over Flomaton Thursday. Jernigan allowed no runs, no hits, walked three and struck out 14 in the win.
Jerry Carnley and Zeb Vickery pitched in the loss and allowed six runs, six hits, walked eight and struck out seven.
At the plate for the Reds, Jernigan had a single and a double while Bracken Pettis, Will Adams, Jacorey Watts and Whitley Lisenby all had singles.
EB Dodgers 17, Flomaton Two 4
Madison White and Jaylin Bondurant teamed up to pitch a two-hitter for the East Brewton Dodgers softball team Thursday night in a 17-4 win over Flomaton Two.
White and Bondurant allowed four runs on two hits, walked five and struck out five in the win
Joy Morris pitched in the loss for Flomaton and allowed 17 runs on 10 hits, walked 11 and struck out one. Matiya Odom and Madlyn Rydowski both had a hit for Flomaton.
For the Dodgers, Bondurant had three singles and White had two. Kendall Carpenter had a single and an inside-the-park homerun. Asia Davis, Teressa Harris and Gracie Sims also had singles in the win.
Nationals 14, Diamondbacks 2
The Brewton Nationals cruised to a 14-2 win over the EB Diamondbacks Thursday and Logan Bush helped lead in the win on the mound. Bush allowed two runs on two hits while walking two and striking out five in the 12-run win.
At the plate, Micah Flores led with two singles and a triple. Stone Martin and Bush both had singles along with Trentez Johnson and Todd Watson. Daniel Reed had a double in the win.
For the Diamondbacks, Matt Thomas, Tyler Pierce and Dylan Ingram all pitched and combined allowed 14 runs, eight hits, walked 11 and struck out 11.
Pierce had a double in the loss and Bradley Lowery had a single.
Brewton Braves 8, EB Braves 0
In a battle of the Braves, Braves shutout East Brewton 8-0 Thursday.
Jackson Flores pitched in the win for Brewton and allowed two hits, walked one and struck out 13. Samuel Bosarge and Turk Morton pitched for East Brewton and allowed eight runs, six hits, walked four and struck out nine.
At the plate for the Brewton Braves, Miller Hart had a single and a double while Logan Blake, Nolan Atkinson, Price Simmons, and Devin Smith all had singles.
Morton and Jacob Bondurant had two singles each for East Brewton in the loss.
Flomaton 10, Rays 6
The East Brewton Rays were handed a 10-6 loss by Flomaton Monday night in 10U baseball.
Hunter Wilson earned the win on the mound for Flomaton. Rowdy Rutherford led at the plate with two singles and an inside-the-park homerun. Austin Ogelsbee and Wilson had one single each.
For the Rays, Caleb Sexton, Jacob Crane and Issac Smith pitched in the loss and allowed 10 runs, five hits, walked seven and struck out 13.
At the plate, Sexton led with two singles while Crane, Langham Parr, Smith and Walker Hoomes both had singles.
EB Dodgers 9, Flomaton One 5
In softball action Monday, the EB Dodgers earned another win with a 9-5 win over Flomaton One.
White, Carpenter and Bondurant pitched in the win and allowed five runs, two hits, walked 11 and struck out five.
Gracie Sims and Carpenter both had singles in the win for the Dodgers.
For Flomaton, Heather Knowles pitched and allowed nine runs, two hits, walked nine and struck out eight. Jessie Marion and Knowles had a single each in the loss.
Rangers 7, Flomaton 2
East Brewton’s Rangers took a 7-2 win over Flomaton Monday night to improve their record this season.
Jennings Hobbs was the winning pitcher as he allowed two runs on three hits, walked seven and struck out eight.
At the plate, Jacobey Hawthorne, Morgan Riley, Sawyer Lewis and Josh Barksdale all had singles while Hobbs had a double.
Robert Samson and Joseph O’Bannon pitched for Flomaton and allowed seven runs, five hits, walked seven and struck out six.
Samson and O’Bannon both had a single each while Dawson Garland had a double.
