Brewton 8U baseball all-stars drop opener to East Brewton

After having an opening round bye in the 8U all-star tournament in Andalusia, the Brewton all-stars met up with East Brewton Saturday. East Brewton advanced to play Brewton Saturday after winning their opening round game Friday against Covington County.
Against East Brewton, Brewton lost 12-4. Brewton was held to three runs in the fourth and one run in the fifth while East Brewton scored one run in the first, four in the third, one in the fourth, and three each in the fifth and sixth innings.
Craig Blevins, John Wesley Sessions, Jim Daugherty and Bodie Hardy all had two hits each while Sam Kelly, Adam White, Nolan Blackburn, Thomas Lowery, Brody James and Daniel Wade all had one hit each.
Sessions Daugherty and Hardy all scored runs for Brewton in the loss.
