10U all-star baseball: Opp takes down and eliminates Brewton 8-2 Monday to win district

After having already taken down Brewton Sunday, the Opp 10U all-stars did it again Monday in the district championship game as they downed Brewton 8-2 to claim the championship in East Brewton.
Brewton finished the tournament with a 3-2 record while Opp went 4-0.
Opp struck early an often on Brewton as they scored three runs in the first and third innings and two more in the fifth while holding Brewton to two runs in the third inning.
Blake Jernigan and Whitley Lisenby pitched in the loss for Brewton while Troy Boutwell and Lane Ballard combined for the win on the mound for Opp.
Jernigan and Lisenby allowed 10 hits, walked four and struck out three. Boutwell and Ballard allowed four hits, walked two, hit one and struck out eight.
Ballard had two singles for East Brewton and Hal Smithart had a double. Jesse Coon had a homerun in the first inning for Opp and a single in the third while Chandler Pyron had two singles.
Peyton Ellis, Case Short and Thomas Glisson all had singles.
For Brewton, Lisenby and Ty Harvell had a single each while Bracken Pettis had two singles.
