Babe Ruth all-stars to play here Friday

Brewton Babe Ruth will host the 14 and 15-year-old Babe Ruth district tournaments Friday, June 28 through Sunday, June 30 at T.R. Miller.
The 15-year-old tournament will see Monroe and Brewton square off on Friday, June 28 at 7:30 p.m. in a best two-of-three series.
The teams will meet again on Saturday, June 29 at 4 p.m. A third and final game will be held on Saturday at 8 p.m. if needed.
In the 14-year-old tournament, Atmore, Brewton and Monroe will meet.
Atmore and Brewton will kick things off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28. The winner will meet Monroe, who has an opening round bye, on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The loser from Friday’s game will play the loser of Saturday’s game at 6 p.m. Saturday. The championship game will be played Sunday, June 30 at 2 p.m. with the “if needed” game set for 4 p.m.
The Brewton Babe Ruth 13-year-old all-star team will kick off their postseason tourney play on Friday, July 5, in Evergreen.
Brewton will play Monroeville at 5:30 p.m. while Evergreen and Atmore will play at 7:30 p.m.
No other dates and times were known as of press time.
Making the Brewton Babe Ruth 13-year-old all-star team for 2013 is: Connor Huskey, Hayden Atkinson, Weston Riddle, Hunter Revel, Russell Smith, Brandon Moye, Aaron Bosarge, Drew Williamson, Matt Hutchins, Christian Taylor, Jason Konsler and Stokes Jennings.
Making the Brewton Babe Ruth 14-year-old team is: JoJo Booker, Hunter Brittain, Lane Clark, Joshua Winton, Caleb Winton, Tyshawn Davis, O’Neil White, Jordan Williams, Preston Townson, Baylen Parker, and Troy Lewis.
Making the Brewton Babe Ruth 15-year-old team is: Tripp Floyd, Lane Chavers, Jake Najor, Austin Holmes, River Johnson, Timothy McDonald, Malcolm Hawthorne, Brooks Brown, Derrick Barton, Dakota Graves, Colton Morris, and Jared Cooper.
The 13-year-old tournament is set to be played in Evergreen.
The 13-year-old state tournament will be in Mobile.
The state tournament for the 14-year-olds will be held in Alex City while the 15s will play in Andalusia.
