The 2013 W.S. Neal Lady Eagle team will get a jump-start on practicing for their upcoming season the next few days.
The Lady Eagles will be one of 12 teams playing in Jay High School’s summer volleyball team camp on Tuesday, July 23 and Wednesday, July 24.
Joining W.S. Neal in the team camp will be Jay, Baker, Escambia Academy, Flomaton, Baker JV, Excel, Pace JV, Lavita, Freeport, L.H., and Pace High School.
W.S. Neal will kick off play in the team camp at 8:30 a.m. against EA in the old gym at Jay. W.S. Neal will return to action at 10:30 a.m. against Baker JV in the old gym and will finish up play on Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. against Jay in the new gym.
Play will resume for W.S. Neal on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. when they take on Pace in the new gym.
At 3:30 p.m., W.S. Neal will play L.H. in the old gym before ending the day at 4:30 p.m. against Flomaton in the old gym.
Games will start at 8:30 a.m. sharp both days and will go every hour until 4:30 p.m.
W.S. Neal will participate in Flomaton’s Summer Bash volleyball tournament next week—Tuesday, July 30 and Wednesday, July 31.
W.S. Neal will begin their 2013 under first-year head coach Jason Blaney on Thursday, Aug. 29, at Flomaton.
W.S. Neal’s 2013 volleyball roster will see 10 players on it with two seniors, two juniors, three sophomores and three freshmen.
Jasmine Crook and Tiffany Sawyer will be the two seniors while Jodi Busby and Tykeria Nolan will be the junior players. Karissa Johnson, Emily Ann Cooper and Madison Winchester will be the three sophomores while Haleigh Dubose, Mee Mee Lawson and Dinah Samuel will be the three freshmen.
