A group of people are planning to gather in East Brewton Friday to join in giving Nicholas Robinson one last hug.
Organized quickly by those mourning the death of the 13-year-old, those who want to be a part of the event can join others at the East Brewton Civic Center.
“Let’s create the biggest hug and line the streets for Nick,” Marsha Bolton, an organizer of the event said. “We can do this. Wear your royal blue Neal colors or your Auburn shirts. We will start gathering up at 2:15 p.m.”
Those working to spread the word Thursday said they hoped to have enough people gather to join hands and line the streets in a “hug” formation in honor of Robinson.
Robinson’s funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with burial to follow at Damascus Cemetery.
The procession for Robinson will follow the route from Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home on South Boulevard through downtown Brewton. The procession will turn on Mildred Street and proceed across the Murder Creek Bridge into East Brewton before traveling to the Damascus community.
The public is being invited to be a part of the event.
