First market vendors to get break

Brewton city officials making plans for the first Choo-Choo Farmer’s Market are offering the first vendors a break in market fees.
The first five vendors who register for this weekend’s opening of the Choo-Choo Market will have the $25 registration fee waived, officials said.
Also, for August only, farmers and other vendors will be allowed to use any tent covering color available to them instead of the required white tent. The tent color allowance will be for the August market event only. Future market days will require the use of white tents only, officials say.
The market will be held at Jennings Park near the St Nicholas Avenue parking lot from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 3.
Farmers, arts and crafts vendors as well as food vendors are invited to contact Brewton Program Manager Connie Baggett for registration details and guidelines for participation in the market event.
