WSN volleyball to open season at Jay

First-year W.S. Neal Lady Eagle head volleyball coach Jason Blaney has released the 2013 volleyball schedule for his team. The Lady Eagles will take to the court for their season opener on Thursday, Aug. 29 when they will travel to Jay.
The 2013 schedule shows 15 games with eight home games and seven away. The Lady Eagles will play their first two games on the road before playing their first home game of the year on Tuesday, Sept. 10 when they host Hillcrest.
The Lady Eagles will play in one tournament in 2013—the annual Escambia County tournament— in October. The 2013 Escambia County tournament will be at JDCC, Saturday, Oct. 13, but will be hosted by T.R. Miller.
W.S. Neal remains in class 3A this year and will have T.R. Miller, defending repeat state champion Bayside Academy and Cottage Hill as their area opponents. The JV schedule for W.S. Neal shows 10 games with five away and five home. The middle school schedule shows five games with three home and two away.
