Facing off against No. 1 Bayside Academy Monday in an area game, the T.R. Miller JV and varsity Lady Tigers both took losses. With the losses, the JV team fell to 4-3 overall while the varsity fell to 6-3 overall and to 1-3 in area play.
The JV team lost 2-1 while the varsity Tigers lost 3-0.
“Bayside is a great team that makes you pay for any mistake that you make,” Lady Tiger head coach Greg White said. “We made a few and it cost us. We will learn from them and get better because of it.”
In the JV game, T.R. Miller lost set one 25-21 but took set two 25-17. In set three, Bayside won 15-13.
In varsity action, Bayside won all three sets by scores of 25-10, 25-9 and 25-8.
T.R. Miller played Tuesday at W.S. Neal in an area game and will be back in action at home Thursday against Andalusia.
Game time is set for 4 p.m. Thursday with the middle schools playing first followed by the JV teams at 5 p.m. and the varsity teams at 6 p.m. The games will be played at Brewton Middle School.
