WSNMS football now 4-0

In their final home game of the season Thursday night for the W.S. Neal Middle School football team, the Eagles remained undefeated as they improved to 4-0 after taking down Monroeville 28-0.
Marvin Maddox returned the opening kickoff of the game 78 yards to give the Eagles their first score of the night. Nate Hutchison would later add a 7-yard score while Jacobey Hawthorne had 4-yard score. T.J. Smith scored the final touchdown of the night for the Eagles of East Brewton as he scored on a 4-yard run to put W.S. Neal up 28-0.
Matt Hutchins was 1-for-1 passing for 21 yards while Hawthorne was 3-for-5 for 25 yards and one touchdown.
Christian Wood had 36 yards on five carries for W.S. Neal while Maddox had 33 yards on five carries and Hutchison had 25 yards on five carries.
Darius Williams added 40 yards on five carries and Hawthorne had four yards on one carry and had a touchdown. Smith had 37 yards on eight carries and one score.
On the receiving end of things, Wood had one catch for eight yards while Hawthorne had one catch for 21 yards. Hutchison had seven yards one catch and one touchdown while Taylor Fountain had 10 yards on one catch.
W.S. Neal will play at Excel Thursday at 6 p.m. before having an off week the next week followed by the final game of the season the following week on Thursday, Oct. 17 at T.R. Miller.
