TRM’s cross country teams runs in Auburn Saturday

Running at Auburn’s Keisel Park Saturday, the T.R. Miller girls cross country team placed fifth out of 12 teams while the boys took 10th place out of 14 teams.
For the Lady Tigers, T.R. Miller had three runners in the top-6 finishers as Karisa Nelson took first place overall (18:45.60) and Katie Nelson took second place with a time of 19:19.65. Allie Nelson came in sixth overall with a time of 20:20.87.
Amber Terry came in 56th overall for T.R. Miller with a time of 23:12.15 while Tarah Townsend placed 63rd with a time of 23:31.88
Breann Huff ran a time of 24:11.93 for 79th overall out of 159 runners. Morgan Rowell finished with a time of 24:56.69 for 97th overall and Kennedy Harp came away with a time of 25:36.61 for 106th.
Behind Harp was Sarah Byrd with a time of 25:44.02 for 107th while Auburn Schoonover placed 110th with a time of 25:58.39.
Shelby Evans, McKenna Gleaton and Carmen Knowles rounded out the Lady Tigers. Evans finished with a time of 26:38.09 for 115th place while Gleaton finished with a time of 28:44.57 for 133rd place. Knowles’ time of 28:59.99 gave her a 134th place finish.
Leading the way for the T.R. Miller Tigers was Christian Carlson with a time of 18:20.41 for 50th place overall out of 217 runners.
Travis Carlson came away with a time of 19:32.39 for 78th place and Micah Flores ran a time of 20:15.84 for 113th place.
Stewart Campbell finished with a time of 21:36.36 for 159th while Dillon Simmons took 160th with a time of 21:36.98.
Tucker McDaniel followed Simmons with a time of 22:07.54 for 166th place while Walker Harris took 22:29.00 for 174th place.
Gavin McNeil ran a time of 22:43.89 for 180th place and Nash Diercks took 185th place with a time of 23:15.63.
Tanner McDaniel finished with a time of 23:54.57 for 194th place while Noah Winton ran a time of 24:34.56. Sam Terry placed 199th with a time of 25:96.60.
Rider Jernigan and Garrett Cave rounded out the boys runners. Jernigan placed 204th with a time of 25:46.82 while Cave’s time was 27:00.88 for 207th overall.
In the girls race, Karisa and Katie Nelson both earned national silver standard for their performances.
