Murder suspect pleads not guilty
An Atmore area man pleaded not guilty last Wednesday to the charges of murder in connection to the shooting death of a Davisville, Fla., store owner.
According to court records and published media reports, Malcolm Troy McGhee Jr., 25, entered a plea of “not guilty” during a Wednesday, Oct. 30, docket hearing at the Escambia County Courthouse in Pensacola, Fla.
McGhee and his co-defendant, 21-year-old Brent Dewayne Lambeth, are set to undergo trial in less than two weeks, on charges of premeditated first-degree murder and robbery with a firearm. They are accused of fatally shooting Thomas Gerald “Tommy” Kroll, during a robbery Nov. 6, 2012, at the State Line O’Yes Lotto store.
