Two children were killed and three adults injured in a five-vehicle wreck late Sunday night on Interstate 65 near Atmore.
Nadir Gillis, 9, and Naziya Gillis, 7, both of Camp LeJeune, N.C., were killed when the 2010 Dodge Challenger in which they were passengers was struck by a 2000 Freightliner truck driven by Terry Allen Wyatt, 57, of Andalusia, state troopers said. The incident occurred about three miles south of Atmore.
The driver of the Dodge, Isom Hodges, 28, and passenger Labricia Hodges, 30, both of Camp LeJeune, were transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.
