JDCC basketball blows late lead Monday to fall to Enterprise

Leading by nine at halftime and by six points with two minutes to go Monday at home against Enterprise State, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball team blew their lead and lost 72-67.
The Warhawks led Enterprise 38-29 after the first half, but was outscored 43-29 in the second half to take the loss by five points. The loss for the Warhawks dropped JDCC to 3-13 overall and to 1-7 in conference play.
JDCC had four players score in double figures with Mikwese Claybourne leading the way with 17 points and Michael Hutchins following closely behind with 16.
Chris Oden added 14 points while Keaynon Gulley chipped in 11. JaQuan Threatt finished with five points and Anthony Bell had three points.
Gulley led with seven rebounds and Threatt lead with nine assists. Darren Wilson and Hutchins both led with two blocks while Claybourne led in the loss with three steals.
JDCC will be back in action at home on Thursday when they are scheduled to host Faulkner State Community College. Game time is set for 7 p.m. in Brewton and will be a conference game for the Warhawks.
