CVCC sweeps JDCC softball Saturday in Brewton

In their home game Saturday against Chattahoochee Valley, the JDCC Lady Warhawk softball team was swept to fall to 3-14 overall this season.
JDCC lost game one 4-2 before taking an 11-3 loss in game two.
In game one, Kaitlin Hadaway was the pitcher of record for JDCC and took the loss. Hadaway pitched seven innings and allowed 10 hits, four runs, one earned, walked one and struck out three.
At the plate, Audrey Hamric led in the loss with a 3-for-3 day. Kaitlyn Kenfield, Breanna Hall, Mindy Walker and Caroline Clark all had hits with Laura Zeegers adding two. Zeegers and Clark had one RBI each.
In game two, CVCC built an 8-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning to romp JDCC 11-3.
Swindle and Hall pitched in the loss and combined to go seven innings and allowed 15 hits, 11 runs, four earned, walked three and struck out two.
At the plate, Kenfield, Hall, Swindle, Clark, and Paige Wooley all had hits.
Walker went 2-for-3 with a homerun and two RBIs.
Kenfield and Swindle had a double each. Wooley added the other RBI.
