The W.S. Neal Lady Eagles softball team went 3-2 in the TRM Invitational over the weekend and advanced to the tournament’s semifinals before falling to Davidson. The 3-2 record for W.S. Neal improved their record to 8-4 overall this season.
“We didn’t play our best softball this weekend and was still able to finish 3-2 in the tournament against some solid competition,” W.S. Neal head coach Jeff Haney said. “We just didn’t hit the ball as well as we had been. I think we had a team capable of winning the tournament, but we just couldn’t get the bats going. We are a young team, and we still have some trouble making adjustments when necessary. As the mental part of our game improves, so will our team.”
