Davis leads TRM baseball to win at Jay

The T.R. Miller Tigers baseball team continued their hot start to the 2014 season as they improved to 8-1 this season with a 9-2 win at Jay Tuesday night.
T.R. Miller held Jay to two runs in the fourth inning while plating two of their own in the first, one each in the second and third, three in the fourth, and one each in the fifth and seventh innings to get the seven-run win.
Kyle Davis earned the win on the mound for T.R. Miller and swung the hot bat in the win.
While going two innings on the mound and allowing no runs, no hits and striking out four, Davis went 2-for-4 at the plate with two hits, one being a homerun and four RBIs.
Also at the plate for T.R. Miller, Jones Manning was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Hunter Brittain was 2-for-3 with one run scored. Davis and Manning scored two runs each.
Along with Davis on the mound, Caden Lodge and Ryann Gray both pitched.
Lodged went two innings and allowed two runs, two hits, struck out one and walked four.
Gray went three innings and allowed no runs, one hit, walked one and hit one while striking out four.
