TRM baseball sweeps Hillcrest and Flomaton to move to 11-1 this season

The No. 2-ranked T.R. Miller Tigers baseball team hosted Hillcrest and Flomaton Friday night and came away with a sweep of both the Jaguars and Hurricanes to move to 11-1 this season.
The Tigers defeated Hillcrest 14-9 in game one and took down Flomaton 14-2 in five innings in the nightcap.

TRM 14, Hillcrest 9
In a game that saw T.R. Miller build a big lead—11-2—after two innings of play, the Tigers had to hang on to down Hillcrest 14-9 in Friday’s first game.
Leading 4-2 after one inning, the Tigers plated seven runs in the second inning to grab the nine-run lead.
From there, Hillcrest outscored T.R. Miller 7-3, but T.R. Miller took the win. The Tigers scored one run in the third inning and two in the sixth while Hillcrest plated five in the third inning and two in the fifth.
Austin Holmes got the start on the mound and the win. Holmes went the first two innings and allowed two hits, two runs, walked two and struck out four.
Joshua Winton, Caleb Winton and Caden Lodge also pitched in the win.
Joshua Winton went two innings and allowed three hits, five runs, one walk and struck out four while Caleb Winton went one inning and allowed four hits, two runs, walked none and struck out one.
Lodge went the final two innings and struck out five.
T.R. Miller made nine errors in the loss.
At the plate, T.R. Miller pounded out 13 hits with Drew Williamson having two singles and a double and one RBI.
Tripp Floyd added a double while Hunter Brittain had two singles and two RBIs.
Jo Jo Booker had two doubles and one RBI while Chris Jones finished with two singles and two RBIs.
Ryann Gray added a single while Joshua Winton and Caden Lodge had a single each.

TRM 14, Flomaton 2
Kyle Davis kept up his dominance on the mound for the Tigers Friday night as he earned a win in five innings and allowed two hits, two runs, walked three, hit one and struck out 12 in a 14-2 win over Flomaton.
While surrendering only two runs to Flomaton in the top of the fifth off a Tiger error, T.R. Miller scored one run in the first inning, five in the third, and eight in the fourth to get the 12-run win.
At the plate for T.R. Miller, Jones Manning had a single, Drew Williamson had a single and two RBIs, Davis had a single and one RBI, Brittain had a double and two RBIs, Floyd had a single, Zac Griffin had a single and one RBI, Tim McDonald had a triple and two RBIs, Booker had a single and one RBI and Lodge had a single.
