Grab a hammer and get ready to lend a helping hand at the Escambia County Habitat for Humanity build on Sat., April 5.

Alecia Glaize, the chapter’s executive director, said that the call is now out for volunteers.

“Preparation is now underway, and we are so excited,” Glaize said. “This house will become the home through the partnership with the Rebecca Molenbrick family.”

Glaize said the “raising of the walls” will begin at 8 a.m. that Saturday and continue until 4 p.m.

“Construction volunteers must be 16 or older, and no previous construction experience is necessary, although skilled volunteers are especially valuable,” Glaize said. “Volunteers are encouraged to pre-register on ECHFH’s website or by calling the office.”

To register as a volunteer, visit www.escambiahfh.org or by calling 251.867.0095.
