TRM softball gets swept by Slocomb and Leroy

Friday was not a good day for the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers softball team. After having to wait almost two hours to play their first game due to no umpires showing up, the Lady Tigers were swept in a home tri-match against Slocomb and Leroy.
The Red Tops of Slocomb defeated T.R. Miller 3-1 while the Bears of Leroy handed T.R. Miller a 6-1 loss to drop the Lady Tigers to 9-4 overall this season.
Slocomb went 2-0 in the three-team tourney while Leroy went 1-1 and T.R. Miller went 0-2.
Slocomb 3, TRM 1
Slocomb scored two runs in the third inning and one in the fourth and held T.R. Miller to one run in the bottom of the fourth to get a 3-1 win in four innings due to time limit.
T.R. Miller had bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the fourth, but failed to score.
Moriah Brundidge took the pitching loss as she went four innings and allowed three hits, three runs, walked two and struck out five.
At the plate for the Lady Tigers, Steely Ruzic had a single along with Krystal Bell who had one RBI.
Mallori Floyd added a double and a single in the loss.
Leroy 6, TRM 1
In their second game of the night, Leroy dropped T.R. Miller 6-1.
The Bears held T.R. Miller to one run in the fifth inning—the final inning of the game due to time limit—while plating one run of their own in the first, third and fifth inning and three in the fourth inning.
Brundidge was the pitcher of record as she went five innings and allowed three hits, six runs, walked five, hit one and struck out two.
Madison Douglas, Floyd, Bell and Ali Taylor all had one single each in the loss.
