Fair, fun to start

Looking for something fun to do? Then, look no further than city streets in Brewton as a bevy of activities are planned for this week and this weekend.
First, the T.R. Miller Quarterback Club is hosting its annual fair fundraiser. Rides opened Tuesday and will continue through Saturday, beginning at 6 p.m. nightly.
Armbands are available tonight for $12; $15 on Thursday, and $18 on Friday and Saturday.
Amusements are provided by the James Gang and set up in the shopping center where Tractor Supply, Marvin’s, Burkes and the Habitat ReStore are located.
On Saturday, runners can turnout for a good cause as the benefit 3K for Luke Isacson will begin at 8 a.m. Sponsored by D.W. McMillan Home Health, all proceeds from the walk/run will benefit the T.R. Miller senior diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s T-cell Lymphoma.
Registration is open Friday. Cost is $20 for adults; $10 for students.

On Sunday, a hymn festival will be held at the First Baptist Church, Brewton.
