JDCC baseball gets fifth straight win Thursday at Bishop State

JDCC Warhawk baseball player Logan Hill helped lead the Warhawks to their fifth straight overall win and fourth straight conference win Thursday in Mobile as the Warhawks downed Bishop State 12-11.
Hill went 2-for-3 at the plate with two homeruns and five RBIs. One of Hill’s homeruns was a grand slam.
Also at the plate for JDCC, Jonathan Moore was 3-for-5 and John-Mark Cosby was 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Alex Jones went 2-for-6 with a homerun and three RBIs while Dake Rivers was 2-for-4. Michael Fox went 1-for-3 with one RBI and Brandon Davis went 3-for-4.
Roman Donofro was the winning pitcher for JDCC while Trey Marshall earned the save. Joining Donofro and Marshall on the mound was Tyler Henry, Dylan Johnson, and Nick Helton.
All JDCC’s pitchers combined to go nine innings and allowed 16 hits, 11 runs, five earned, walked five and struck out four.
JDCC improved to 12-15 overall and to 8-8 in conference play with the win.
