EB youth baseball teams get wins

The East Brewton Bulls 7/8 year-old team went 1-1 in their opening day games.
The Bulls lost 11-3 to the Iron Birds and won 2-1 over the Hot Rods.
Against the Iron Birds, the Bulls scored three runs in the fourth inning while giving up one run to the Iron Birds in the second inning and five each in the fourth and fifth innings.
Eli Atkins went 2-for-2 with one run scored and a double and had one RBI. C.J. Gibson went 2-for-2 with one RBI and scored one run.
Against the Hot Rods, Eli Stone went 2-for-3 with one run scored.
The Bulls scored one run each in the first and fourth innings and held the Hot Rods to one run in the fifth.
EB Mariners
The East Brewton Mariners went 1-1 in their opening day games Saturday at R.T. Johnson Park. The Mariners lost their first game to the EB Braves by a score of 7-6 before rebounding in game two with a 7-5 win over the EB Cubs.
In game one, both teams matched run-for-run except in the fourth inning when the Braves outscored the Mariners 1-0.
Both teams scored one run each in the first three innings and three each in the fifth inning.
Jordan Crane, Walker Hoomes and Jordan Sims all pitched for the Mariners and allowed two runs, six hits, struck out 11, and walked five while hitting one.
At the plate, Dustin Godwin and Keysan Paul had one RBI each while Sims had one hit and three stolen bases.
Crane had two hits and three stolen bases while Gaige Moulder added a hit and two RBIs. Hoomes added one hit and one RBI while Langham Parr had two hits and one RBI.
In game two against the Cubs, Sims and Crane pitched in the win and allowed six hits, struck out two and walked one.
Parr had one RBI along with Godwin.
Sims had two hits, one RBI and stole three bases while Paul added on hit and stole two bases.
Crane finished with two hits and a triple and had four stolen bases while Marion Lane had one hit, two RBIs and stole two bases.
Moulder finished with one hit, one RBI and stole one base in the win.
