Flomaton baseball hands TRM 9-5 loss Tuesday

Coming off a big three-game area series sweep of rival W.S. Neal Thursday and Friday, T.R. Miller’s baseball team took a 9-5 loss at Flomaton Tuesday night. The loss dropped the Tigers to 17-8 overall.
Flomaton had a perfect game on the Tigers through five innings as the Tigers sent 15 batters to the plate none reached base via a hit, walk or Hurricane error.
Flomaton led T.R. Miller 3-0 after one inning and 2-0 after three innings before plating four in the fifth inning to grab a 9-0 lead. Flomaton left the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth.
In the sixth inning, T.R. Miller scored four runs to cut the lead to 9-4 and added one more run in the fifth inning, but took the loss by four.
At the plate for the Tigers, Jones Manning had a hit and one RBI along with Drew Williamson. Kyle Davis had a homerun and two RBIs while Jo Jo Booker and Chris Jones both added one hit in the loss.
T.R. Miller had five pitchers pitch in the loss with Hunter Brittain being the pitcher of record.
Along with Brittain, Caden Lodge, Williamson, Tim McDonald and Zac Griffin pitched against Flomaton.
Combined, the Tiger pitchers went six innings and allowed six hits, nine runs, six earned, walked 12 and struck out four.
