TRM softball earns 13-2 win over JUB Tuesday

With their regular season nearing an end, the T.R. Miller Lady Tigers softball team traveled to J.U. Blacksher Tuesday afternoon and came back to Brewton with a 13-2 win. The win for the Lady Tigers improved them to 12-7 overall this season.
T.R. Miller led the Lady Bulldogs 1-0 after one inning of play and 3-0 after three innings after plating two runs in the top of the third inning.
Leading by three, T.R. Miller scored three runs in the fourth inning to increase their lead to 6-0. J.U. Blacksher scored their first run of the game in the bottom of the inning, but T.R. Miller answered with two runs in the fifth and five in the sixth to grab a 13-l lead.
J.U. Blacksher added one run in the bottom of the inning, but it was not enough as T.R. Miller grabbed the 11-run win in six innings.
Taylor Austin went the distance in the circle for the Lady Tigers as she went six innings and allowed four hits, two runs, one earned, walked two and struck out five.
For T.R. Miller at the plate, Steely Ruzic went 2-for-3 with one RBI while Mallori Floyd was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Krystal Bell added a double and two RBIs while Myra Reiss had three hits, Austin had one, Abbi Roberts had three and Moriah Brundidge added a double.
Anna Kate Brittain had one RBI in the win while Reiss had one, Roberts had three. Brundidge also had one RBI for the Lady Tigers in the win.
