TRM golf takes second place to Straughn

In their final home and regular season match before sectionals Monday, the T.R. Miller golf team finished in second place in a four-team match.
Straughn edged out T.R. Miller for first place as they shot a combined score of 156. T.R. Miller shot a 174 followed by Jackson’s 214 and W.S. Neal’s 245.
For T.R. Miller, Troy Hart led with a 39 while Chandler Brown and Hunter Harp both shot a 43. Will Smith shot a 45 while Tylan McDonald shot a 47. Yancey Jernigan also shot a 47.
For W.S. Neal, Justin Sessions shot a 49 followed by Riley Fore’s 60, and Zack Williams’ and Patrick Lowery’s 68.
T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal will both play at the sectional tournament on Monday in Montgomery at Lagoon Park.
