JDCC stayed alive in the tournament on Saturday as they downed Calhoun 5-1.

JDCC 7, Snead 4
The Warhawks of JDCC improved to 2-1 in tourney play Sunday as they downed Snead State 7-4.
Tyler Henry earned the win on the mound for JDCC and was joined on the mound by Nick Helton.
Henry and Helton combined to go nine innings and allowed 10 hits, four runs, three earned, walked three and struck out three.
At the plate, Hill had two doubles while Fox had one.
Rivers added one hit while Craig Headley had one hit and one RBI.
Cosby had two hits and one RBI while Jones finished with two hits and two RBIs. Hill added two hits and one RBI while Fox had three hits and two RBIs for the Warhawks in the win.
“The key for us was Nick Helton,” Jeff Davis coach Darrell Blevins said in a story on acccathletics.com. “He came out and battled and gave us six good innings. Then we went to Tyler Henry who has been strong for us all year long. Of course he’s a little fatigued right now after pitching three straight days. But that’s the good thing about this time of the year. It’s fun, and the guys don’t give up. They give it everything they’ve got.”
With the win, the Warhawks stay alive in the loser’s bracket. Jeff Davis will now play the loser of the Faulkner and Shelton State game Monday afternoon at 12:30.
(UPDATE: JDCC WILL PLAY SHELTON)
