EB Mariners rally to down Brewton Braves in seven innings Thursday

In a game that took over two hours and 15 minutes to play Thursday night in Brewton, the East Brewton Mariners came back from 10-4 deficit to rally in the sixth inning to tie the game and scored three more in the seventh to win by the score of 13-11 to shock the Braves of Brewton.
The Braves led the Mariners 5-2 after one inning and 8-2 after two innings before carrying a 9-3 lead into the fourth inning. After both teams scored one run each in the fourth, the Braves led 10-4 after five innings. From there, the Mariners outscored the Braves 9-1 to get the two-run win.
For the Mariners at the plate, Jordan Sims had two singles, a double and a homerun along with two RBIs and three stolen bases.
Jordan Crane had a homerun and two RBIs while Gavin Leggett added two singles and one RBI and Dustin Godwin had two singles and two RBIs.
Walker Hoomes finished with three singles and one RBI, Mario Lane had one single and one RBI along with Gaige Moulder. Lanham Parr added a triple and two RBIs while Ke’Shan Paul scored one run and had one RBI.
Crane earned the pitching win and Sims also pitched in the win. The duo combined to go seven innings and allowed seven earned run, 11 hits, struck out 11, walked seven and hit one.
No information was known for the Brewton Braves.
