EB Mariners get third straight win to end season Tuesday

The East Brewton Mariners ended their season on a three-game winning streak as they defeated the EB Braves 14-3 in their final game Tuesday. With the 11-run win, the Mariners finished the season with a 7-7 record. The Braves finished 6-9 while the Cubs finished 2-13.
In the win for the Mariners Tuesday, the team outscored the Braves 6-1 in the first inning and 2-1 in the second inning to build an 8-2 lead. From there, the Mariners plated six runs in the third inning and held the Braves to one more run in the fourth inning to get the big win to complete their season.
The Jordan duo of Jordan Sims and Jordan Crane pitched in the win for the Mariners as the combined to allowed three runs on four hits, struck out seven, walked three and hit one batter in four innings of work.
For the Mariners at the plate, Sims was 1-for-3 with one RBI and six stolen bases while Crane was 1-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and six stolen bases as well.
Gavin Leggett had two RBIs and two stolen bases while Ke’Shan Paul had two stolen bases and Walker Hoomes was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Mario Lane went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and two stolen bases while Gaige Moulder was 2-for-2 with two triples, four RBIs and one stolen base.
Langham Parr added one RBI and two stolen bases, Evan Hartsel had two stolen bases and Caleb Peters was 1-for-1 with a double and one RBI and also had two stolen bases in the win.
