EB 10U baseball drops first game in Opp

East Brewton’s 10U all-star basetball team started their district tournament off Thursday night with a 15-2 loss to the host team Opp.
No other stats or game information was known as of press time.
East Brewton will be back in action Saturday at noon against the loser of Andalusia and Evergreen. Andalusia and Evergreen were scheduled to play at 8 p.m. Friday night. Evergreen had a first round bye. Andalusia defeated Covington County 13-7 Thursday in the tournament’s other game.
Brewton, who also had a bye, will be in action Friday at 6 p.m. against Opp.
The winner of that game will advance to play Saturday at 2 p.m. in the winner’s bracket against the Andalusia/Evergreen winner.
The Brewton/Opp loser will play Covington County at 10 a.m. Saturday.

10U boys:
Saturday’s games will begin at 10 a.m. when the Opp/East Brewton loser from Thursday will meet the loser of the Brewton versus Opp/East Brewton winner’s game from 6 p.m. Friday. At noon, the Covington County/Andalusia loser from Thursday will meet the loser of the Evergreen versus Opp/East Brewton winner’s game from Friday at 8 p.m.
At 2 p.m., the winner’s bracket game will be played followed by the winners in the loser’s bracket games squaring off.
On Sunday, the loser’s bracket game will be played at 4 p.m. and the championship game will be played at 6 p.m.
The if-needed game (6 p.m. Sunday loser has only one loss), a deciding game will be played Monday at 6 p.m. for the tournament championship.
