Garden club to host plant sale
The Meadorwood Garden Club is busy preparing for the groups annual plant and tree sale set for Oct. 30.
Members of the club will fill the playground at First Baptist Church on Belleville Avenue with a variety of blooming plants, shrubs and trees ready for fall planting.
Sandra Kelly is serving as the chairperson for the annual sale.
With sales beginning at 7:30 a.m, buyers will be able to choose from a variety of plants, bushes and trees including Leucothoe, “Limelight” Hydrangeas, Spirea or Bridal Wreath, Agapanthus, Knockout Roses,and Forsythia.
In addition to the special selections this year, members will also have a variety of other plants and trees available.
The sale will continue through the morning until all plants are sold, member said.
