It’s a sign of the times! Brewton Mayor Yank Lovelace announced Monday that the city would be seeking proposals from graphic artists in the region for new entrance/gateway signage for the city.
“We are looking for something distinctive that reflects our unique city and its heritage,” Lovelace said, “and I believe there are creative people who can help us find the design we need.”
Those interested in submitting proposals can email designs to or hand deliver drawings to city hall by 5 p.m. on Dec. 12. Designs should specify building materials proposed as well as a concept drawing of the finished signage.
The winning entry will earn the designer $500.
