BMS Lady Tigers finish season 8-0

The Brewton Middle School Lady Tigers basketball team capped off a perfect 8-0 season Tuesday night at home as they defeated Flomaton 49-10 in their final game of the season.
BMS led Flomaton 15-5 after one quarter and put up 15 more points in the second quarter while holding Flomaton scoreless to grab a 30-5 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, the Lady Tigers outscored Flomaton 9-3 to increase their lead to 39-8 heading into the fourth quarter. In the fourth, the Lady Tigers ended the game on a 10-2 run to get the win by 39 points.
Janasia Nettles led BMS in the win with 17 points while Aleria Smith added 16.
Ravion Ewing chipped in eight points while Jordan Johnson had seven. Averie Johnson finished with four points in the win.

BMS Tigers 38, Flomaton 25
In boys action Tuesday Toby Jenkins and Jaylin Dees both scored 15 points each to lead Brewton to a 38-25 win. The win finished Brewton’s season with a 3-5 overall record.
Jamal Duggans had eight points for the Tigers.
Flomaton led Brewton 16-10 after one quarter, but BMS used a 10-2 advantage in the second quarter to grab a 20-18 lead at the half.
In the third quarter, both teams struggled as they combined for four total points as Brewton took a 23-19 lead into the final quarter of play. In the fourth, Brewton ended the game on a 15-6 run to claim the 13-point win to end their season.
