There could soon be a new eatery on Brewton’s Boardwalk.
The Brewton City Council voted Monday to hold a public hearing at its next meeting to allow Swain LLC to apply for up to $20,000 in downtown redevelopment grant funds.
The company hopes to open “Swain Sandwich Shop” in the former Chicago’s Hair Salon location.
According to information presented at the meeting, the group hopes to employ up to five people and generate an estimated $100,000 annually in revenue.
The public hearing will be held on March 9.
